We have a lot of trouble with AOL users in them not receiving the sign-up emails or other notifications from the forum. This is due to AOLs email and spam systems blocking the messages. It happens to many other forums as well as New Rider.
We therefore recommend you do not use an AOL email address when signing up. It's easy to get a free email account from Hotmail, Gmail, Yahoo etc if you don't have an alternative.
