Have anybody had any experience of loan horses from here. Have found an ideal horse at 14.3hh.
Just waiting for them to phone me back with some more info as their page on him was sparse.
Just need to keep everything crossed that he is still there and they approve us.

I would be happy if they took a couple of months as long as the horse was right for us and we were right for the horse.
TBH it makes sense to get everything checked out in depth properly first, especially after my recent experience.

Yes, my shetland is an ILPH loan.

Took 2 or 3 weeks as far as I can remember. Field Officer came out for a chat and asked me various questions, then showed him the fields I would be keeping him in. He was quite happy with it all and told me to phone the yard (Aboyne) to arrange a time to view the loans. Went up with my Mum adamant I would get nothing smaller than 13hh and certainly NOT a shet. Met him in the field while looking at a 13.2hh and fell in love with him!! :o Then it was just a case of arranging Gillies to bring him down.

ILPH/WHW were great to deal with and still are. FO visits every 3 or 4 months to check all is well, half the time I'm not here when he turns up but he knows his way around up here and takes a wander across to see him.

The loan agreement just basically asks you to do what you would normally do with your own horse, i.e. regular worming, farrier, vaccinations etc.

Which yard are you dealing with?

Well good luck with it all, it is pretty straight forward and they're nice to deal with.

essex horse and pony protection society have a 14.3 mare for fostering out, dunno if shes your cup of tea........

13 year old Bay Warmblood Mare – 14.3hh

Has done a lot of X-Country, dressage as well as happy hacking. Not a novice ride. On the flat, she used to outrun her ex-fosterer’s Thoroughbred!

not a million miles away from you,,

The website doesn't give much information about him. Are you able to tell me more about him as it has been 2 days now and the World Horse Welfare haven't returned my call. I phoned again this morning.
