Fell off my boy for the first time yesterday!

Well the enivitable happened! Me and my boy parted company on a hard track and i landed on my left side,really hurt my left bum cheek!

It was a bit pathetic really,i was riding him in a bareback pad for the first time since i dislocated my elbow.We were having a lovely canter in the sunshine and then G caught sight of a big pile of stones at the top of the track,spooked(he's not normally spooky at all!) saddle pad slipped and i went out the side door!!

I managed to hold onto his reins and he just stood looking down at me-not too traumatised by me falling off!

Anyway glad its happened after 2 years of ownership-not too bad going i dont think! How long have you owned a horse for without falling off-lets have a competition!!:D

I hope your bruises heal up quickly. I'm still limping after my fall nearly three weeks ago.

Have not owned a horse,but have been riding since lower/junior school age-twenty five now,and cannot remember ever having fallen off,not an over safe rider but am not able to feel fear or most types of pain,so have never given a thought to falling off or damaging self whilst riding.

Something like 60 days after I bought my lad (from the beginning of May to the end of June), I fell off! Not sure how long I had my first pony before I fell off her ...

ermmm..... A year with my own horse :)

But i have been riding 7 years, and havce only fell of twice * touch's wood fast * XD XD

Think I was two months into horse ownership when I hit the deck on landed on me bum.
