Having thought that i would never find another suitable loan pony, i have found a possible loan that i am going to see on Saturday.
Quite nervous about it after last time, but this is a 6year Irish Gelding. A bit different from 18year mare
I just hope that the owner thinks we are suitable. This will hopefully be a permanent loan as the owner is giving up horses
Roll on Saturday afternoon.

Make sure you have a good chat and explain your uncertainties i.e. how much involvement but do be ware that she may wish to come and visit. Get everything you can think of in writing and dont sign the loan agreement unless your satisfied.

Good luck

good luck!

I have a permenant full loan (ok so the owner is a good friend which makes it easier) and it works really well so you can be positive that there are similar situations out there that work out ok!

I'm looking at a 6 yr 13.2hh Irish gelding named Jack. He is near Barnham Broom.
I have considered an older pony but its hard (impossible) to get insurance for vet bills relating to illness. They only do accident. I will consider though if it doesn't work out on Saturday.

Well we visited the pony this afternoon and decided after about 10 minutes that he was not for us.
Thanks for all that have offered ponies but we are only going to go for something between 14 and 18 years old.
