:rolleyes:I don't as they split after 3 months:mad: seem to go through muckers, wellies and shoes like nobody's business:o:rolleyes:
My last pair of muckers lasted 2 weeks.. they were Shires

Mine get really grubby too. I use a stiff brush to get rid of the caked on mud, then a dampened sponge to tackle the mud that won't brush off. Finally, I use Renapur leather balsam, which I find keeps them soft. The Renapur will get them lovely and clean without the brush and sponge stages if they're not too bad to start with. It doesn't give a high gloss sheen, but these are my "everyday" boots so that doesn't matter.

Jetwash all the muck off and then either whatever saddle soap I have kicking around (usually effol leather dressing) or if I'm going somewhere and want them super smart I use ordinary shoe polish.

Just a leather cleaner once you've brushed the mud off should do it I would think.

I used to scrub mine with an old body brush and rinse under the tap (this is when they were really clarted) and then dry them off as best I could with an old towel. Next I would apply saddle soap to nourish and cleanse (gosh, sound like a commercial don't I?!) and finally apply either Effax lederbalsam or Sheraton's leather balsam. Either way,it was a pain in the butt! I got sick of cleaning them! So, now my Mountain Horse Sportives are polished up and saved for special occasions and my run of the mill everyday Mountain Riders are put away during the rubbish weather.
BTW, did anybody else realise they'd stopped selling the polished oak ones? I loved them, but was really really disappointed to learn they've stopped manufacturing them. THey do oiled brown but it doesn't polish up.
