i bought one of these last month and i LOVE it!!!
i charge it at home once a week and it works a strip light in tack shed, a radio, a kettle, i clipped two horses with it, its charged my battery for elec fence and its a godsend. i have a spotlight coming to go outside tack shed which will shine over the field in worst of winter and it will power that too
it can also be charged in car while driving

Couldn't get link to work.......sounds fab though. Would be great even as a back up to mains maybe? We get quite a few really long power cuts over the winter.

Does it have a plug socket or do you need a coververt to plug a kettle into it?

If you watch the demo vid on link its shows you that you can put a standard plug into unit, no need for any other kit.
I am very tempted.

Sounds just what I could do with.
Hubby suggested getting me a generator but I thought it may be a bit
noisy and don't want to upset my Yard Neighbours.
Will have a proper look later, looks very reasonably priced I have to say

thanks for posting this; it looks really good, and much more portable that a generator!!! ( bought a small generator about 10 years ago, and have used it about 3 times as its so heavy to carry, but if i leave it at stables, it will no doubt get nicked!! - this looks much smaller? about the size of a car battery?)

Just to say on a smaller scale that I bought a wind up torch from Wilkos for about £4 and it seems to be working great, nice bright light, enough to see in the stable and tackroom for quick jobs ... and no charging needed lasts a good while!

i charge mine once a week overnight. This week it has run a strip light every night for about an hour, a kettle a few times. clippers for an hour, the radio ever night...
its fab and i cant fault it. it also has a big powerful torch on one end

Little add on to this thread.
Hubby bought me a present tonight.......it wasn't the battery thing that
Scottishterrier was on about, tbh, I don't really need that now as
bought myself a campingaz stove, cuppa being my MAIN priority:)
We have stores here in Bristol called 'WHAT' and OH was in there today and came across a PIFCO RECHARGEABLE FLUORESCENT LANTERN.. it is
absolutely BRILLIANT;)
You plug it in at home or any 13 amp socket to charge it and then just
SWITCH IT ON......two x fluorescent strip lights.....it is 'DAZZLING':D It
comes with a built in stand so you can have it on the floor or wall mounted.
and the best bit...........COST £17.95
Thankyou Steve;)
