.....went really well and he PASSED!!!!
Only a few things picked up - he has thrush in all 4 feet, not too badly, and unsurprising considering he's come from a travelling family in Ireland, and he has evidence in one of his eyes that he's had a knock or an eye infection in the past, but that is of no clinical significance.
It's recommended he wears a UV protective fly mask in high UV weather, as he has such pink skin, and his hocks are slightly straight, which may predispose him to some hock and stifle issues later in life, but shouldn't be a problem as long as I don't overdo things and warm up and cool down properly. It also means he "might never jump over 3.5ft", but that's fine by me!
The vet said she thinks he'll make a lovely little cob.
So, we're going to pick him up on Saturday! My god I'm so excited!
*whispers* oh, and he needs his willy cleaned....
