I have been off work all week with..would you believe it...bloody shingles! Christ its painful!
I thought, during the week, i would be able to get my horsey fix (having had to cancel this weeks lesson) on this fine forum..and today is the first day i have been able to sit at the computer!
I just want to smell a horse...is it too much to ask for? I would feel much better!
Darn it!

Aw, tons of healing vibes coming your way! how horrid for you - I have heard its a nasty thing to have. Hope you get your horsey fix soon! (As for wanting the horsey smell, I think its another good reason why they should bottle it and let people buy it - for special times of need! lol) Get well soon!

Oooh nasty!! My b/f had that once and he was in agony!!
Hopefully it'll clear up soon, I'm sending healing vibes!!
In the meantime, use lots of calamine lotion! - seemed to help b/f!! :)

Having just got over shingles myself, you have bucket loads of sympathy from me! I missed the horses so much too when I couldn't get out to them.
I hope yours goes quickly. Until they do, keep taking the painkillers, snuggle into the duvet and dream (pleasant ones of course).

I really feel for you and hope you feel better soon :D. I got shingles when i was 12, i'd had chicken pocks, measles and german measles and so shingles was the last thing . Mine was on my tummy and wasn't at all painful which the doc said was strange, however im very greatfull that it wasn't cos my friends dad had it on his head and it reduced him to tears it was so painful .
Will be sending you healing vibes and wishing you a speedy recovery ;).

Many thanks all!
I am still contagious which is a charm, and if i still am on Monday will be off work again! At least i can come on here now!
There is a charity showjump/gymkhana near me tomorrow which i wanted to go to but it is looking unlikely.
At least i dont have my own horse to miss which would make it even worse!
I just keep looking at all your pics instead!
And my friend made me loads of yummy choc chip muffins and apple spice cake to keep me going! Its not all bad;)

Know what shingles feels like I had it about nine months ago and still got the scars to prove it!! Believe it or not mine started down below if you get my drift and the nurse couldnt believe it. Gave me cream for something else which made it worse and then travelled to my tummy. Couldnt even bear to put knickers on!! Hope you're feeling better soon but it can take a long time!! (((hugs)))
