Question in title. Our pair will be having a leisurely breakfast tomorrow at 6.30am followed by a net, groom, tack up and ride in the school. They will then be left to their own naughty devices in their favourite field until I come to poo pick (then they will follow me around making mischief) at 2pmish. They will then be left to stuff themselves pooey on grass until 6.30ish, whereby I will retrieve them and they will be brought in, watered, hayed and left for a snooze:p They will have their noses kissed about 8.30pm and their lights turned off.:D:D
The same thing will be repeated on Sunday:D Tho we may try some lunge work to vary it a bit in the morning instead of ridden work.
How bout your neds?

Hehehe, oh, they certainly go on strike often about pay and conditions.....hahahahahha. The cheeky chumps, they still look puzzled every morning when we tack up and head to the school and not the field.......lol, poor Storm, her girth is slowly getting tighter (I can feel that shortly it will be back to its former hole in the buckle thingy!)

Well my mare will be enjoying a leisurely breakfast, then it is a get together with her pals in the field while her unpaid servant (AKA ME!!) cleans out her stable, refreshes it with new straw, water and hay, her own personnel chef will then prepare dinner for that evening. Servant will then clean field and I am sure Jade will help by pushing over poo buckets (her usual trick).
Inbetween that her servant will prepare a little xc course, madam will then be bought in for a massage, pedicure and groom, then will be tacked up and we will have a little go over the said course :p - I am sure madam may disagree with this last bit but we will see :D
Madam will then have her dinner be put in her pj's and tucked into her stable.
Cant wait!!!

Actually thinking about just getting the vet out. He's only young, and I've never done it before, and it's really bad in there, and at least that way I know it'll be done properly......

Tomorrow Tessa the Tb is being picked up in a friends lorry and taken to her yard for a lovely hack out on the edge of the peak district. We'll probably go for another nice hack from our own place on Sunday morning.
Poor old Rio on the other hand isn't sound enough to come with us, she'll just get taken out in walk for half and hour and maybe long lined on Sunday, I don't think she minds that much though :)

I've checked my mare's overly stuffed social calendar and found that this weekend she will be mainly standing in her field waiting for me to poo pick at 7am, then waiting until the very final piece is in the barrow and I'm half way back up the hill to the muck heap before depositing a huge steaming pile right at the bottom of the field. Whilst I am filling her water bucket with lovely clean spring water, straight from a mountain spring you know, she will look at me in complete disgust if anything resembling a fly lands in it before kicking it over and endeavouring to ensure that I get drenched. Once all the jobs are completed and I go to attempt to catch her then I'm afraid that she will be forced to hone her feral instinct and leg it around the field until I am either a) too knackered to ride or b) have completely lost my rag with her. I will then give up and go for coffee. Once suitably refreshed I will then reattempt to catch little madam, once again this will carry on until a) or b) above is accompished. Eventually I will be forced to get OH, who has no interest in said feral pony, and make him start his motorbike up upon hearing this noise little madam will realise that we aren't schooling and we are going up the mountain she will then let me catch her and will drag me to the yard where I will be able to a) groom her with her looking at me with complete horror as its taken all night to perfect the dragged through a hedge backwards look and b) tack her up all the while holding her breath so she goes up 3 girth sizes. We will then go for our usual hack up the mountain which is lovely but have to take OH with me to open the gates. Once at the top of the mountain look at the view for all of 2 seconds before feral pony realises that that's her field over there and does a runner downhill at 90mph with me basically clinging on for grim death. Then its back into the field until we have to repeat the exercise on Sunday morning. Oh the joy's of owning a horse. :D

Izzy will go out in the field with his mates after his diet breakfast. I will be going to bring him in at about 1ish for a good groom and fuss. Then he will be tacked up and, if I'm feeling brave, I will take him out for our first hack. If I'm not feeling so brave, I will tack him, walk him out in hand and then do some riding practice in the school.
At the moment I'm feeling quite brave, but that may very well change in the morning!
After our riding I will sponge him down and put on his new cooler rug. Probably take some pictures and then do his back feet and feathers with pig oil and sulphur. Then he'll have his tea with a few extra treats in it.
Similar on Sunday although I may long line.

Tomorrow, Molly is having her first lesson in months (as am I eek!) where I will expect her not to
a)bomb around the school at a million miles an hour;
b)walk like a drunken slug -the polar opposite to a) above;
or c)try and run my long-suffering instructor over in an attempt to evade work
On Sunday, my sharer is riding, so she will also make her work hard.:D

Ruud will be mostly standing in her stable. Then she will be allowed to stand outside her stable while I remove the bedding and start afresh. Then she may eat a little grass in hand before returning to her stable.
(Please dont tell her about all the nice things all your horses are doing this weekend, I keep telling her that all the other horses are having no fun either but I think she's starting to doubt me)
Bless Ruud, she's being so good about her new boring routine!

Then I will take my angel Sharman for a hack and Sharman will show off how much better behaved he is than Apollo :p
Then they will both have some tea and be put back out in the field, with jammies on if its rainy or windy :cool:

I have a 'ladies that lunch' appointment and then on Sunday his sharer will maybe long rein him as she has just been on a course and is busy practising. :)

Tomorrow (Saturday) Adella is having a horsey coffee morning with her two friends as her mum is working. On Sunday she is going out for a hack with a male colleague, she is not all that keen on him but puts up with him so's not to offend. He usually shows her up by doing something stupid, he's a bit of a yob, put his owner in hospital the other day by bucking about 15 times for no apparent reason. Adella says it must be his upbringing but Ive told her not to be so snooty. Then I'm off to see my friends new arrival, her 5 month old filly, Grace. Will put piccies up when I get them :)

My two will be doing whatever THEY want to do:D
Because thats what they seem to do, help themselves to the hay by
untying all the ties with their teeth and dragging not ONE but FOUR bales
out and are then stood knee deep in the stuff when I arrive:rolleyes:
or Jump the electric fencing to get out on the bit of grass I have left.
They then look at me when I arrive as if to say 'aw, you shouldn't have
worried, we are absolutely FINE':rolleyes::p

Today mine are sitting in the field, where Jen will stuff her face in her ever lasting attempt to become wider than she is tall and Jasper will no doubt make a pest of himself in an attempt to slow her up. Then when i go up this afternoon they wll have some dinner and a fuss before back out to resume daytime activitys.
Tomorrow Jasper will have the same rutine (oh the hardship of being young :rolleyes:) But Jen has a lunch date with a friend at the local pub whre mummy may indulge in a few drinkies and Jen will be forced to use her long suffering donkey look to bribe passers by into feeding her

this was our weekend- courtesy of my mare: yesterday we enjoyed the sunshine in our newly available winter grazing area- our mother finally got the message that we were starving and deprived, after we pushed and pushed, and knocked the dividing fence down. so we totally enjoyed saterday, even the hour or 2 we spent in the stables, munching, and watching mum replant the fence posts-- will she never learn who's in charge??? today we split up, and i took my mummy and her friend out in the exercise cart, where we had a nice drive in some lovely fields with views; as ussual, i got my way when we go in the field, and ended having a really good canter, which is great fun in a cart. my mum always says " well, today we will just trot- she( me ) cant think she can canter, everytime we go in a field," so sometimes she tries to trick me and makes me wait till we get to different spots, but hey, she loves a good canter in the cart as much as i do, and today i heard her say that it will probably be the last time the field is available this year, so she didnt put up any resistance at all!! then we did some walk and trot, and walked back to our home, where i had a soothing spot wash, and my toenails done, and a bit of a massage, then in my box with a slice of hay to munch on while they took out the young nipper for some longreining. apparently he was very good, and behaved nicely whilst tree felling , hedging, and tractor moving was going on, and i was in a bit of a strop to hear all of the praise he was getting. then they took him in to the small paddock in front of the stables, in plain view of myself, and proceeded to do even more with him; this is not on, so i had to kick the stable door a few times, which was ignored. he was then hitched up to pallet with shafts attatched , getting more praise for just standing still, and so i kicked the door a few more times- i really dont see why that young upstart should get so much praise for doing such basic things! they took him around the 2 paddocks a few times, with manouvers in circles and figure 8's and through some narrow gateways, and even up and around the mound, which is a tight little obstacle with a hill, then a bit more walking i think, but i wasnt watching as closely then, as i was still a bit miffed at all the attention he was getting, but i know our mum was really pleased with him, and how well he had done at everything today. anyway, she brought him in and unharnessed him, still praising him and i contented myself with pulling faces, and so i got lots of fuss as well. once the whippersnapper had had a rubdown and wash, etc., mum put my rug on, and we were let out to resume our laidback lifestyle. i was glad to see that mum went home with her eyes much brighter, and a healthy glow to her cheeks-- sometimes i really do WORRY about her - she looks so tired!
