Well those of you who know, Wren has been a bit difficult to hack out lately, I took her out tonight after the last, bad time.
She started off really well, very forward going but it's nothing unusual when we first set off. Everything was going well and she was being a good girl, but I had to stop in a small nursery car park to let a load of cars through a few minutes down the lane, and as I asked her to carry on with our ride, she started walking backwards, so I squeezed & talked her on, but she carried on backwards, so I tapped her with my whip and we got slightly more progress, yet carried on, so I got firmer and firmer and she finally carried on down the lane! So I was really pleased she ended up doing what I said after only a couple of minutes, which was really good!
So we carried on, then as we got to the place where we usually go home, I asked her to go up the side lane (which is quite steep with dogs on the corner at the top!) she started to be reluctant, yet didn't stop, so I encouraged her to the max really, and she did try and got up it, and was a really good girl! I was so happy with her, then for the rest of the hack, she was a little angel! So apart from the incident in the car park which was nothing really, she was a star!
However, the place where she refused to go up (the other day with me where I broke down) the lady that shares her with me took her up it yesterday and she did EXACTLY the same! she had to get off (as this really helps Wren) and lead her up it, and then got back on her, but she did get very sweaty and het up at another place further on where the lady also took her on that ride (which has happened before with me in the same place) and she did a little buck and got a bit anxious, so like I predicted, we do think she has slight separation anxiety so will avoid them 2 lanes from now on as it's not worth it.
But other than that, she was a very good girl! and got more pats, treats and cuddles than normal! so hopefully her, reluctant, naughty behaviour will get less and less each time we go out :)
Wasn't going to post this thread until tomorrow as I am sooo tired  back already from a night out! how lame  but was eager to let you all know as you've all been so great & supportive :D
