Took Wren out for the 2nd time yesterday.
All was going well when I got to the yard, Wren seemed pretty chilled out so that was a good sign! Then saw that she was actually in season!! (she must have come into season after I had left on the Friday as she wasn't on Friday afternoon) so this might explain her more excessive issues lately as she was slightly hormonal
Anyway, got on her, sorting myself out, suddenly she hears something... leaps on the spot, jumps forwards, does a bit of a buck and rear (basically exploded!) and was all panicky. Looked out of the gate and a man kicked a football for his dog down the lane (and Wren doesn't like the hedge along the lanes as it is, because of stuff in/behind them such as birds etc.) so anyway, after her explosion of scaredness - we set off down the lane for our hack. I have to say she was SUCH a good girl I was so happy with her! Where we'd go regularly she walked past, kind of looked at it but didn't stop and went up a lane next to it!
For the whole hack she was a star and I was a really happy mummy when I got back! She constantly listened to me the whole time we were out too and didn't once attempt to do as she pleased.
However, down quite a steep hill though on the way home, she looked into a horsey yard (which she was infact stabled at a couple of years ago!) and she is the CLUMSIEST thing with 4 legs as it is, and she obviously wasn't concentrating and suddenly fell forwards (her head practically on the floor) ON THIS HILL! and I thought she fell on her knees and you heard a huge scrape of shoes on the concrete and I was like  "have you cut your knees? have you hurt your leggies? etc." but she picked herself up and carried on bless, I checked she wasn't limping etc. but she was fine, just being the big dopey donkey she is really!
We also met another horse out (and Wren usually tries to follow and gets all het up) and she walked past and thought nothing of it and I turned around and saw the ladies horse try to follow us :p I was very proud of Wren!
She was the good girl! and was an angel the whole ride out.
Things are looking up again and I have to say, I do love her to bits. She constantly makes me laugh and is so cute! and absolutely gorgeous (pics REALLY don't do her justice - and you may think I'm bias but she honestly is stunning, I think she looks a bit like a girly version of Locarno :D)
Anyway, here's a pic before we headed out on our ride yesterday lunch time! (about 2 mins before she had her mad moment )
