Okay so I haven't felt like this properly in ages! (possibly ever?) Now I know a lot of you on here have kids and work harder than me but I am soo tired it's ridiculous
I actually feel like I am NEVER in bed, always doing something!
I go to college 5 days a week inc. essays/homework to do EVERY night, work on the weekend, have 2 horses to look after who are both DIY livery *no lighting* 1 is retired so doesn't need riding but obviously Wren does.
For the past couple of days I've been looking after a lady's 2 cats and rabbit so it's straight to her house after the stables. Then my own cat to feed and pamper, and the same for my dog but he also needs a nice walk aswell!
Also go somewhere with my mum on the weekend too as we don't get to do anything in the week.
I then go out either a Friday night or a Saturday night (tbh sometimes both :o) as I love going out, meeting up with friends etc. especially as it's usually to see my friends who are not at the same college as me anymore so the weekend is the only time. I know I could sacrifice my nights out on the weekend and I do sometimes, but when I don't I'm just completely knackered, and come Monday morning I am absolutely shattered!
Is anyone else feeling like this? I'm so tired and I know it's the sort of lifestyle I choose & don't get me wrong I love it to bits - college, horses and a social life.. what more could I want? but a few more hours in bed would be VERY much appreciated :o
Being 17 is just hard.... :o *yawn*

Now you know why schools and colleges have half term holidays etc!!!!! Nearly there now :)
I can remember life being exactly the same at your age - i went to my doctor as was getting recurrent headaches and here's what she said 'you dont eat right, you dont sleep right, you burn the candle at both ends - what on earth do you expect me to do?' LOL. The risk is that you allow yourself to become run down and something ends up giving and its usually your health. Try and manage your time better - if you have a slot during the day between lessons try and get your homework done so you are freer in the evening, take the dog to the yard so he can run around instead of going for a walk - that kind of thing....
As long as you are enjoying it and dont take anything else on (which you appear to be prone to doing like cat feeding ) remember to take care of yourself and have fun! I wouldnt go back but being 17 is great - make the most of it

Oh sweets you do sound like you have a lot on your plate, yes a lot of us on here work and have kids but we are also a lot older than you, for your age I think you have a lot going on.
Maybe you need a duvet day :D

Well life is for living after all, and it sounds like you are living it to the full. I would just try and go to bed as early as you can and cut out watching TV (if you ever do) in favour of sleeping. In order to be able to study well you need to have enough rest - do you ever have power naps? When I am really tired, I go to bed for 45 mins during the day (remember to set your alarm) and I feel really good when I wake up.
I remember the days when I used to go out every Friday and Saturday without fail - often getting in at gone 3am. Now, it is a miracle if I am still awake by 10pm. I have a lovely little boy who wakes me up every day at 6am so there is no-way I could live on 3 hours sleep!

Hahahahha - when I was 17 I didn't see daylight most of the time! I was like a ruddy vampire - mum used to shout me to get up at around 12 noon every day and I just used to complain loudly!!! hehehe, I didn't have a horse then obviously! lol. I used to love my bed and sleep - still do but the older I've got I've found I can cope better - I don't drink hardly so perhaps thats got something to do with it?! I normally turn in around 10pm and get up at 6am - but on the weekend and days off I have to have an afternoon snooze.........

annareeves yeah can't wait for half term! and I do take the dog to the stables nearly every time but sometimes it's not appropriate for him to come with me :/
and funny you should say that! I do get headaches quite a lot of the time (from stress most of the time!!) and I drink soo much alcohol it's silly - I do need to cut back, and I know nearly everyone my age drinks a lot but I also have a heart condition which doesn't help, especially the next day when I have a heart that's racing at 100mph and random palputations! AND am bored at work :o so cutting back would definately benefit me.. but I can't not, so it's hard :o
But I can't really sleep during the day :/ I find it quite hard, unless I take a hayfever tablet that's not non-drowsy as it knocks me out for a good 3-4 hours.. as I first found out in a lesson in school!
But I just want a day where I can get up when I want, lounge about and definately have a duvet day :D but there's always something to do/needs doing!

Ooh sleep deprivation,a concept I am very familiar with.Having kids, home, horses and working nights means I am constantly battling the droopy eyelids:p
Have no answers for you apart from you do get used to it to an extent (My body has adapted to requiring less sleep due to working nights and struggling to sleep in the day, although I still always feel tired!!),oh and pro plus tablets, wonderful things if you take enough of 'em;)

Yes, they certainly are!!! lol, I wouldn't have it any other way tho...what would I do with myself? Stay in bed until a reasonable hour, have time for a social life, have time to watch Dvds......:p:D Nah, I'd much rather be up in the dark, wrapped up to the eyeballs in waterproofs in force 10 trying to prepare my horses feed.........

Haha true!
A social life whenever you want, money to buy those really nice pair of heels in the sale for £60  hair products, hair cuts on a more regular basis, money for luxury food, make up etc.
instead we prefer to make our horses look like no other, dolled up in the latest trendy bits, bridles, numnahs, buckets, ropes, headcollars.. their coats tidied with the best grooming brushes going, making feeds & poo picking in all weathers including the arctic and torrential rains and come home with hay in our hair and vast amounts of cuts and bruises :o
yay for the equestrian life!!! :D
