At the moment I use Thorogoods, but just wondered if there was anywhere a bit cheaper.

My TB really needs Haylage in winter. You can really see the difference in his condition between hay and haylage.

Also, I note my Welsh pony coughing with hay.

I simply do not get time to soak etc etc.

I've never fed mine haylage, Spring is a nightmare as she's allergic/sensitive to so much stuff I get too worried to try things in case she reacts to it, she completely loses her coat and her lymph glands on her belly end up the size of rugby balls!

I think I could live on haylage myself. Just love the smell so much

Just out of interest, how do you manage with 3 horses and a young child. Where do you find time to look after them let alone ride!

I struggle to find riding time but my kids are older and OH is here nearly all the time to help look after kids etc while I have horsey time :D

I do all my jobs in the morning before he wakes up which is usually about 7:30am, then when he goes to bed at 7pm I do my riding. He's so good with going to bed that I can go straight outside ride and bed down etc. Plus he still has a nap duing the day for about 1 & 1/2 hours so that gives me more time to get things done - that way when he's awake he gets my full attention.

I'm impressed!

You're very lucky he's a good sleeper. Neither of my boys ever were. They would wake up constantly in the night and even then they would be up at 5.30/6.00am rareing to go

It's easier now of course they are old enough to occupy themselves as long as I am around in case of any problems i.e. one is trying killing the other !!
