Ive had a lame day at work, gone to the farm to be given more rubbish news about stuff up there, a pony who planted and refused to leave field  and then come home and OH has given me a really nice anniversary card... I just stood and bawled my eyes out :o:o

But the point. Totally cheesed off. Farmer is having a bonfire and fireworks display and hasn't even had the curtosey to tell me he is using the fields for it (I know through word of mouth thankfully) - He has told a few people, and told each of them a different day so dont know what day :mad: I think its totally irresponsible and totally out of order.

Then I get up there tonight, in the pitch black and pouring rain on way home from work to bump into someone else, and apparently we have to have our horses out of the field they are in by tomorrow as it is getting to churned up. This is a joke. There are three other fields. She cant go in with the shetlands as she kicks the hell out of them. She cant go in the lami field as there is NOTHING on there and so she kicks the hell out of me when she is in there - also it is about 3acres and will have 8 horses on it - with no grazing on it really. Or she can go out in the herd, where I wont be able to find her when its dark as its too big, the fencing is broken and its jst as churned up. They wont fix the fencing until after the bonfire. Grrrr. However, Silver wouldnt come in tonight, and again he hasnt had the curtosey to tell me, so she won't be leaving the field - at least until he suggests a viable alternative.:mad::mad::mad: I can't wait to move yards, just wish I could afford to do it earlier - only got until the 20th left - I knew this field was too good to be true :(

I just think its a joke - a fence comes down takes a week to go back up - he doesnt do anything about ragwort or drainage or worming - why would he care about this one field suddenly?!

Actually I lie. He topped the ragwort....and left it in the field so it was even more pallatable (even that took until july/august though )

Oh what a pants day :(:(

Hope you're feeling more :) soon, and the ponies survive the bonfire and fireworks display. Actually, with any luck the weather will get even worse and it will be rained off!

The next couple of weeks will fly by, why don't you talk to the guy direct in the meantime about your concerns? Especially about the fireworks.

He should have at least put a sign up, so everyone knew what was going on. What a numpty.

Sounds like you're making a good decision to move. Good luck with it when you do.

PArtly because Im working - this week so its dark when I get up there both ends of the day - and secondly because I kind of think (ignorant perhaps) that if I dont see him, I wont move her - and the others are doing the same - as he hasnt told me or left a note or anything.

I told him last week that I was moving at the end of November... anyway I came up at the weekend to find a woman asking me how long my shavings would be outside my stable ebcause she was moving in  he told her the end of october she could have my stable!!!!! She now has a pony with no stable as she was on a waiting list and moved as soon as she could! So I am also stable sharing
