Spending time with horses - oh yes!!

We are finally having the perfect Houston fall weather (after way too much rain). So mid-70s and a gorgeous clear blue sky!

I have been spending lots of time at the barn with my RS horse. Yesterday I got to the barn at 8:30 and groomed him before my lesson. Afterwards, He had a ncie soapy bath (came out looking super white) and then took him to his favorite spot to graze under an oak tree so he could munch on some acorns. Then we went out to the grass field where we sat around in the sun for a couple of hours and he got to visit with some of his friends! He got a cookie also for showing off his bowing trick.

Today I am taking him on a trail ride. Then I am having a western lesson (different horse).

Can this be heaven?? Retired and able to spend as much time as I want around horses??

Utter heaven! Love Houston!

Not sure if you know and don't mean to upset you, but you do know that oak and acorns are poisonous to horses in any biggish amount?

Ooooh, you paint a lovely picture! Weather wise it sounds great! Not like wet old Lancashire here in England!!! Our pair are stood looking very forlorn in the rain........Just wish it would stop sometime soon, as my house will be slightly flooded if it carries on! (We appear to have a mini river brewing at the back door atm!!!!).
