A massive thanks for suggesting a dinky rugs muzzle - touch wood so far it has been brilliant - it hasn't rubbed, wasnt much more expensive than a shires, is a much more adjustable fit, and she is happy to have it on whenever she goes out - thumbs up all round!
So I can't say thanks enough!!!! But would also recommend to anyone who has a muzzle that rubs as it is all nylon webbing - no rubber bit at the bottom.
THANKS!!!!!! :D:D:D:D:D:D:D

It has been great - deffo worth measuring them first though - Silver is only just in the Small pony and she is 12hh, but shes nice a fine A welshies though - she measured at 23" round the nose but woman said it was a shame to go up to a cob size - great though because you can expand the noseband bit anyway, it is fleece lined round nose and all buckles so quick release - the shires one cut her face open, but all this one is doing is leaving a nice clean muzzle pattern on her nose!! :p :D
See my photos for her nose size lol... We've had it on for... probably two weeks nearly now I think and still sticking her nose in every morning - considering she is fussy - even with headcollars - she wont have a heavy headcollar on!! its doing very very well :D:D:D Will deffo be sticking with them!

They are really good, i've had one for a couple of years.:)
I did have to sew the adjuster on the headpiece in place as i found it was slipping.
Shadow has however got that one sorted and wriggles it round to eat through the larger nosehole:rolleyes:, so this summer i had to also buy one of the rubber based ones (as a more severe option) and he alternates between the two depending on how much grass is available.

How much do you want for it? I bought two pony size muzzles, but they're to small

I got a shires one, but it cut her bottom lip, hence needing to try another type - for the money its brill :D
I have noticed it slips, but only when I clip a lead rein to her muzzle and she refuses to move in the field... naughty mummy should stop being rubbish and use a headcollar :p :D

I still do that too - should know better really as he has pulled away once and velcro came undone...cue one headcollarless pony loose between yard and field and with access to the road:eek: luckily he decided to just put his head down and eat...
To stop the headpiece slipping just make sure it is set at the right length and then sew across the strap next to the adjuster buckle;)

I wish there were bigger sizes:(: mine's an escape artist and if these fit better then the usual type, I'd love one!

So glad it has worked out for you OP (think it was me who mentioned them to you in your other 'urgent' post, even though I haven't actually tried them as yet lol:o:p).Have heard nothing but good things about them, and now have worked for you too, think I will definitely invest in one for my fattie for next year:)

I believe they go up to an XL size hun, despite the name 'dinky rugs' they seem to make their grazing muzzles in all sizes!!
