anyone got any idea of an approx. price of what it costs to get a saddle re-flocked these days?i just found one of my real old saddles hidden away in the corner of the tack room , cleaned it up and the leather and everything is fantastic , but most of the padding has dissapeared! any help appreciated!x

Im in the US so I have to use dollars but:
About three months ago I had my saddle re-fitted (sized, gullet switched) and flocked.
The whole process cost me $65.00
Well worth it

I know how much I charge, but I think it is a tad more expensive down south!
For a simple over flock I charge about £25.00 depending on how much work needs doing. I won't do it though if I think the saddle is past it or I know I am going to run into trouble lacing the panel back in. What might look like good leather on the flaps and seat might not be the case on the panel tops and panel.

the panels seem fine , the only bit that looks worn is a bit on the gullet (would that matter?)it has just about no padding left in it , and i wanted to sell it, but personally i wouldnt put a saddle on one of mine unless it had plenty of padding so didn't want to sell on a peice of bad tack!

I think down here (south) to totally reflock a saddle is about £125 and up.

I paid £25 for my last reflock and that includes saddle fitter coming out to check the fit.
