Hello! I JUST bought a grey marea few days ago, and of course, she searches for mud to roll in. I was wondering what kinds of techniques/products have worked for you to get your gray horse clean? also..what can i use to whiten a yellowed tail? Thanks!

Brush the worst off and ignore the marks unless you're going to a show! Then when you want them really clean you just bath them. Use one of the shampoos designed for greys - Equine America do a good one. It will probably take several washes to get the tail clean.

my girl is a real mud monster. i have learned to ignore it unless we're going to a show - i have come to the conclusion that her natural colour is in fact a lovely shade of khaki.
persil hand wash liquid is good for yellow tails, as is vanish stain remover or net curtain whitener. be careful to only use these products on the bottom of the tail though - not on the dock.

:D My boys a real swamp donkey, unless im going to a show I just wash the worst of the mud off and get on with it.

The shampoos for greys are good, I used fairy liquid on my boys tail and legs etc., just make sure you give them a real good rinse afterwards!
