Parelli has arrived! Whats lip popping?

My Parelli Partnership pack has arrived this morning - it looks fabulous and I can't wait to start it!

Just one question - a stable vice called "Lip Popping" is referred to - I think its a US term - can anyone explain what it is please?

I THINK this is a behaviour shown by some horses when they're nervous - they sort of snap their lips open and shut over and over again. (I could be completely wrong).:p
