I'm thinking about buying Heather's book from one of the online book stores, and I was just wondering, if anyone could explain to me what her book is about, more in depth. I read the reviews on amazon.com, and on this website, but they don't really help me. Is the book directed more to horse owners, or does it matter?
I posted awhile ago, asking a similliar question to this, but didn't get any feed back.
Please Help!
Thanks,
Maci :)

hello!
Her book describes how to ride in sympathy with your horse. it is useful for both horse owners or riding school clients. it describes how to absorb the horse's movement to make riding more comfy for the rider and much better for the horse. It then goes on to explain how you can develop feel so taht you can tell which lef the horse is moving at a particular time whichis useful when you get on to lateral work and transitions. It describes in a VERY clear and expressive way how to do everything while riding, from transitions to half pass going through common problems on the way. it also explains why you don't want to do some things when riding.
It really is a good book. it is a book you will read once, then always have near you to refer to.
i hope that helped.
bye!

Hi. I'm not a horse owner, and consequently it's not possible for me to put into effect some of the suggestions in the book, for example I don't get much say in what bit I use. Still, I bought it at the same time as a few other horsy books, and every time I remember something I want to reread and wonder which book it was in it turns out to have been in Heather's book. I especially like the bit about learning to feel which of the horse's legs is moving under you. I highly recommend this book, and I think it would be useful for owners as well as non-owners like me, in fact for anyone who rides.

It's one of my favorite horse books and worth every penny. Also, I'd recommend her video (AND her saddle seatsaver, AND her saddle, AND...etc.etc.) But the book is great, very well put together and very informative.
