Kerry's Partner

I had a lesson last week on a most brilliant schooll (riding school) horse. My instructor and an observing instructor - as well as myself - ended up in fits of laughter, because...................
This brilliant pony responded so well to EE (Sue Carnell) aids that I/we demonstrated (apparently) THE most classical transition into canter you could imagine (their words not mine). Problem was I was sooooooooooooooooooooo distracted by the feel of the trot and then even more surprised by this transition into canter that within two strides it ALL fell apart!!!!!!!!!!!!
btw Sue Carnell, said instructor is someone you gave one lesson to....................and he is now preaching your virtues when he teaches me!!!!!!!!!!
So the half-halt viv "pinch" I apparently did without realising it and the pony (a gelding who is Kerry's twin in looks and breed btw) just sussed it out immediately. And me? Well I didn't even know I was doing it - I was just gliding along on this SOOOOOOO brilliant trot we'd been able to develop together.
