I've been riding for 3 years, and I've jumped up to 3'6. I'm riding a new horse, and having a very difficult time with him! On the flat he was ok, but he tends to pull after a while at the canter. He's extremely strong, and I just can't get him to lighten up! The first time I jumped him over a simple 2'0 crosspole, I nearly fell off! What he does is he sees the fence, rushes, takes off long and lands with his head down, pulling. It gets me terribly off-balance. Does anyone have any tips for a very strong puller? I'm not sure if he needs a stronger bit, or if it's just me. I've never had a hard time with other horses, and I've ridden some other pullers, too. He's just a MAJOR puller. Can anyone help?
