I would love a chestnut with a lacy blanket, with a blaze and a couple of white socks (appaloosa) that is what I would really like to find in a filly one day:)
But apart from that, I love my guys app colouring.

you can't beat a flashy bright chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail socks and stripe.

i like all horse colours except grey's. don't mind a dappled grey but the others are to hard to keep clean.lol!

My fave colours are the Dark dapple greys with ash silver manes + tails and the dark chestnut with 4 white stockings and a perfect star!!I loved the colouring of my last horse- he was a jet black with 2 white socks and a crescent star,but I dont want to offend my new boy who is a gorge copper bay with brown under dapples!

my riding instructor once told me that the only good palomino she's seen is one going down the chute.

i was very surprised as i like them a lot i think they are very flashy.

i like chestnuts, dapple greys and duns, not keen on palaminos or appalosas apart from the lepoard ones. i don't like the skin round there eyes for some reason :confused: love the spots though:D i also like some coloureds but not all, i don't like the ones with pink skin round their eyes, i also like bright bays and liver chestnuts! the only ones i don't really like is white greys but thats cos they get so dirty so quickly :rolleyes: but if you need one answer i like chestnuts cos jayney is a bright chestnut

I also like horses that are a pale grey but with almost black mane and tail - I saw a show jumper on tv that looked like this but have no idea what it would be described as - can anyone enlighten me?

Dun, with zebra strips on shoulder and legs, black dorsal strip, star and a small blaze, white socks.

that was based on the horse i rode in some camp shows.. he is SOOO beautiful!

i also Love greys, blacks, paints, palomino's......i guess i don't really have a favorite color lol

Dark bays or blood bays always tear at my heartstrings, lol. There's nothing better than a flashy dark bay Quarter Horse. *sighs*

And who couldn't love a buckskin? I loooove buckskins almost as much as I like bays. There's a buckskin at my stable that has the traditional black points and black mane and tail, but instead of his coat being tan, it's almost pure white, and he's just gorgeous. I love that horse, but not as much as I love Casey (who is a gorgeous dark bay).;)

but i really love Duns....and i love Red Duns a LOT! (well,after all,that is my horses color!)!

but i also LOVE Palominos,Buckskins,and....Cremellos...(i hope to own one of each someday! ;) ..)

and for all of you Leopard appy fans,the horse my mom (and i,sometimes)ride is a black and white spotted appy...although,he is as crazy as nailing jellow to a tree! :rolleyes:

But then, there's always the palominos...especially in a Welsh Cob...
And my little Lily is chestnut with a flaxen mane and tail, four white (normally!) socks and a big blaze, so...!

My favourite colour is bay, Bess the horse I am learning on is a beautiful bay (not sure what breed), with the biggest hoofs I think I have every seen and they are all feathery, she is 15.3 and the most gentle and sensitive horse ever. She is absolute lovely and I wish she was mine!!!

Maybe one day! I have only had 2 lessons so should learn how to ride before trying to buy one!! hee hee hee

hehe, I went all out on my appaloosa registration application on what I believed my horses colouring to be....I ticked bay/brown base, with blanket with spots (okay there are maybe 3 spots on it:rolleyes: ) with a roaning pattern through his neck. Which if you see him in the flesh, he is indeed.
I had to send 4 colour photographs with the registration and the registry sent me his registrations certificate stating only that he was brown with blanket to wither :o Oh well....spose thats all that they could make out in the photographs!:D

I couldn't possible pick a favorite! I might like chestnuts (especially liver chestnuts) and dappled greys an eensy bit more... maybe :D I'm not as huge a fan of leopards though- not sure why.

I love bays, especially lighter ones. One horse I ride at lessons - Parson - is a roanish bay type horse. He's hard to explain...

I also love lighter palominos, like the other lesson horse, Opus. And I'm a stickler for blacks and grays! Hehe.

Love horses of all colours. My first pony Nemo was a blue roan connemara cross. My horse Vi was piebald (pinto) who sadly passed away earlier this year. Off to Holland in October to check out several Freisian Studs, my dear darling non-horsey husband will be picking up the bill for this one bless him. Will always have a soft spot for piebalds though.

I dont tihnk I have a favourite colour as such. I like black horses because you can a really healthy glow on them. I also love duns too. But i have to say, I am real sucker for coloureds now !!!!

I think its because Mysy is a coloured with a grear personality and i think any coloured is going to have her personality lol :D
But I love the fact that they all have different markings and very individula !

i love pintos pallaminos appaloasa roans bays blacks ok basically every colour except for greys and some cheastnuts some are ok but some i hate but ir eally ***-like greys and whites because u can see how dirty they get and its really yukie in winter when its all muddy and the horse looks all raggie and yukie because it is a white they best horse coulour would be mud colour lol actually that wouldnt be helpful cos then they'd be to hard to brush u cant win can ya :rolleyes: oh well

Palominos are so mischevious! One dragged me and set off galloping for grass-sending me straight into the muck heap. She took off to the nearest patch of grass and started tearing at it. Needless to say I will never ride her again, let alone lead her! She was also extremely powerful for a 12.3hh pony! The only reason I led her was because it was right after my friend's lesson and I was helping her untack.

Ooh they're little buggers! Not to mention the time I led her inside the barn and she tore off for the feed bucket at the other end! Then I sheepishly found out that we weren't going to ride her today in the lesson...

There's a really nice (and gorgeous) palomino TB X at my stables, called Ted, and he is quite sane.. But he can be VERY stubborn sometimes... make that most of the time! :rolleyes:
