first of all, do you ride western or english?? I know how to saddle and bridle for both, but I can't really describe tacking up with a western saddle, i'd only be able to show you.

oh ok, well, what is it that you exactly have trouble with? Because there are lots of things, but basically, you need to know some basic parts of the saddle. The back of the saddle is callled the cantle, and the front of the saddle is the pommel. The part you sit in is the seat. I trust you know that much. If it's a saddle pad in the shape of a saddle, but larger, then it's easy to tell the front from the back. If you're using an all purpose pad then the saddle pad straps go towards the front of the horse. On the regular pad you put the velcro over the billet straps (the straps you put the girth on) and on the all purpose you put the strap on the first billet strap. The girth side with no elastic is on the right side, and you do that side first, and then go to the left and do the elastic on the left. Start out on the first hole on each side, and then go back to the non elastic and pull it up and then go back to the elastic side and pull it nice and tight before you get on.
