For years I have thought, and been told, that my siting trot is OK. I finally got the hip and back action from your book coordinated today. The difference was incredible. Much more comfy for me and Moss went much better. Thanks. I have not exactly been bouncing along in blissful ignorance for years, but sitting is much less stressful now I am doing it in harmony with Moss.
Good news item number 2 I plucked up courage today and leant over Connie's back, with weight on her, no saddle saddler is fuel bound, and she was a bit unsure but very good. Enclosed small open yard, soft landing and hubby holding Connie, and providing leverage for me. It is not the first time I have rebacked a saddle worried horse bare back, and it can avoid the confidence problem as I have found that they do not get twitched about any historical sore spots, but it takes courage and a trust of both horse and partner.

Glad to hear about your success, Jill, both in sitting trot and with Connie. Keep us posted,as any step is a breakthrough with Connie after her trauma.

Thanks Heather.
I took Moss out for his schooling hack on the moor this evening. Hubby was walking with Connie in hand as he can trot her. I cannot run fast enough for her natural trot, boy can her shoulders move, and she has long legs!. Moss was a total pain. Don't want to, can't make me and if you try to force the issue, I'll buck - just like this, look! I finally took him off on his own for some education. He got back to the field in no doubt that herd leader was me!
The baby was as good as gold, despite a lesson in how not to behave from her elder and "better". She was standing under load tonight and stretching her neck and shifting front feet looking for treats. She could feel the effect of me on her movement but no problems and I returned to ground level under my own weight tonight. Hubby nearly lifted me away from her yesterday. I am not over confident but I can at last see myself on her back again at some point. There were times when I had more than passing doubts.
I will keep you posted but not I hope bore you rigid.

AS far as I am concerned, anyone who is helping a horse or anything conme to that, regain it's confidence, could never be boring. Keep the posts coming Jill!
