Ooh the jumping buzz!! :D
Chat with your instructor over trying different types of jumping, once you are feeling really confident, doing some cross country jumps out in a field is a really fun experience! :)

What do you mean, sorry Im a little confused by what your asking there! Do you mean like what type as in showjumping, with pole fences or cross country with jumps like logs, bushes etc.
If your newish to jumping or just getting the hang of it then I think its best to start with some small crosspole jumps, there probally one of the easiest jumps and it gives you and the horse a target in the middle to jump over where its lowest. Once your confident there then you could make the crosspole jump higher or try a different type of jump. Some horsey websites have some good examples of jumps you could use.
Anyway good luck with whatever you where doing!

You could probably choose which you like better. Which do you enjoy more: cantering across the countryside, or cantering in a riding arena? That might help a bit in choosing.:D
