I understand from the new EE website that the EE Seatbone Saver has been redesigned and improved lately. Does anyone know what the actual differences are between the current and former designs? Are the differences sufficient to warrant buying a new one if we already own one of the 'old' ones?

Cheers,
Debutante

Hey Debutante - did you have any luck with the Canadien you were going to look at?

By the way, I am switching breed allegiances! I am going to semi-retire my guy and go for a warmblood (hopefully, a Trakehner!)

I still love Canadiens, but I have now discovered my hidden love for very tall horses.

The changes are mainly in the shaping to improve the fit on a wider range of saddle. In terms of rider comfort there is no difference, so if you are happy with your existing seatbone saver there is no need to change.

Hi Everyone,

Thanks for the info on the new seatbone saver design Mike.

Kelsey, I don’t know where to begin. :D My aches and pains and injuries have healed and I am planning to go back to my regular riding routine in September. My Canadian Horse search this summer has taken me far and wide and has been an emotional roller coaster. However, for now, it’s on hold. I had seen quite a few very nice horses but just as I found the one I thought was "it" my elderly mother took ill suddenly and had to move out of her home, etc. etc. etc. Since my responsibilities and priorities have now changed, my horse plans are sort of up in the air for the next while at least. I’m not complaining, it’s just the way it is and (of course) my mother’s situation has to come first right now!
I just adore Canadians but I too can appreciate the big boys. I was at a seminar this summer and met the most adorable Holsteiner yearling – what a beauty. Funny thing, he seemed to know how gorgeous he was and spent the whole day posing, as though he was saying ‘Yoooo-hoooo, look at me’. As for tall Canadians, I know a woman in Pennsylvania who breeds for Canadians over 16hh. Her horses are really nice so if you’re interested I can send you her name. She takes some heat for breeding beyond the accepted breed standard but there IS a market for them, that’s undeniable.

Cheers,
