i'm at a new barn and it seems no matter what horse
i get on, i have lots of problems.( i have a year's worth of lessons from a traditional hunt seat stable) the horses are all well
trained and extremely well cared for, it is a very gentle barn.i can barely ride one lap around the arena without falling apart in either posting, steering or both. todays
horse..well, its like as soon as she knows there are calavetties or cones to steer around she just HEADS for them,
no matter how I steer. I know i must be making TONS of mistakes to cause these problems because other people ride
the same mounts without troubles. It was a total battle today to keep her on the rail.Anyway. Feeling discouraged
and wondering sadly if Im just not going to get it. s.

Don't feel discouraged!

You are at a new barn, with new horses, and it will take some time to adjust. Besides, you can always get off easy in your classes because your the 'new kid'.

Keep Trying!

Cheer up Sally!
Changes take time - new barn, new horse + new instructor - that's a lot to adjust to. Different instructors ask different things of you which is good because it helps you learn more. Keep trying and enjoy the rides - it will all come in time!
