my first lesson ! eeeeeeeek!

hiya everyone just to let you know how my first lesson went ! was really good i learned how to walk on and go into trot and then standing trot ! was really good then 2 mins b4 end of my lesson i fell off ! was dead funny ! nothing serious i was actually getting off harry when it happened ! cant wait for my next lesson ! love vic xxxxxx

At least you're laughing about falling off :) My first fall was shameful ..... the horse was standing dead still :D still have no idea what happened :p

Don't worry about falling off - we've all done it at some point or another! Provided you and the horse are OK - just treat it as a 'learning experience'!!:D I kind of 'fell over' my horse once! We were out on a hack and we got off to walk for a bit to rest the horses and when we went to get back on my boy would not stand still near the rock we were using as a mounting block, but he stopped about 2ft away from it, so I stood on the rock, foot in stirrup and sprung towards him - just as he moved sideways towards me - and I went straight over the top of the saddle and on to the ground !:D LOL!

I lay their laughing and he just stood there looking at me and laughing back!

i remember my first lesson, i was really scared, my legs were shaking..lol, dont worry much about falling, it always happens when u least expect it, remember that when u fall off, u become a real rider! Yeehaw!!:D

My first lesson (at the confident age of about 25!) was great cos I knew I could ride - after all, I'd been pony trekking several times! All this lesson stuff was going to do was to refine my already amazing talent !!! How wrong can you be - now, the more I learn the more I realise I don't know!:D :D :D
