I just wanted to thank all you New Rider posters for all the help & advice I’ve picked up since I first registered on New Rider nearly 4 years ago.
I don’t post very much but I read the board as often as I can and taken lots of helpful suggestions for many of the things I have struggled with as a mature new rider.
Thank you to those of you who take the trouble to reply and help out people posting on this board. You’re helping lots of other new riders you don’t even know about!
I’m prompted to write this after a more successful than usual lesson, where I could see that I’m not a raw beginner any more, (though still with masses to learn). I realised that in addition to all that I’ve learnt from my teacher and her horses it’s the extra bits from here, especially in the spirit of Enlightened riding, that have made a difference.
I particularly wanted to put this message on this section of the board, as well as the more general section, as Heather's comments have often been helpful to me, as a beginner and I think myself very fortunate to have found this board.
