last week at my cantering lesson my instructor kept telling me that i was pulling on Royale's head to much, but then when i didnt hold her as firmly she stuck her neck out.How can I not pull on her head and keep her nose tipped in and neck arched?(I must admit ,I can be a aggresive rider at times, but other days i think i'm to timid,i dunno!)

Try to imagine your arms, wrists and shoulder joints as elastic, flow with the movement of her head, exaggerate the movement, don't sit with fixed arms.
Are you using the reins to anchour yourself? Get a few lessons on the lunge.

Hi there
It sounds to me as though Royale had his weight on the forehand, certainly unbalanced, kind of rolling on. If he could transfer some weight onto his back end and accept the bit, his front end would become lighter and the head would drop down from the poll - easy hey!!! Took me 2 years with my horse.

I have to agree with LisaD. Your horse sounds like it's on the forehand. Here's what I've been told to do when the 13yr old quarterhorse I ride does this: I bend her inside a little, not enough to make her move off the rail, but just enough to make her carry her own head and shoulders.
I hope this helps.
