hi i just wondered if anyone knows of a riding instructor around the north west of northern ireland (derry) who would teach side saddle, or even anyone who rides side saddle who would be willing to give me a hand with breaking my new horse to side saddle

Have you got the "Art of Side Saddle" book It's published by the Trematon Press, Salt Ash, Cornwal.
It is fairly comprehensive and a good place to start. It's not cheap.....about the price of one good lesson about £25.00:D

Hi Bev,
It's been a while since you posted and I wondered how you were getting on?
Keep persevering, I've just found an instructor after a number of years of looking, she is only 5 minutes from my home and has been there for years - I've just not been asking the right people!
Do you have your own sidesaddle? I'd love to have my own - but I suppose I aught to think about a horse first. :eek:

PS I got the book 'The art of Sidesaddle' from my local library. It might be worth asking.
