hey
a very good friend of mine has a 16 year old standardbred mare...she has been around my area for years and we are in discussion wether to retire her...when she stands still for some time, say about 15 mins, she is lame for a few strides and very stiff...when she is warmed up and moving she is still stiff but moves well...her conformation is quite bad, straight short legs and a straight back..she has had trouble with her back before but has recently had the chiroprater in...is there anything that she can be fed to make it easier on her joints??? or is it better to retire her??? my friend thinks she has arthritis but isnt sure...any supplements out there that help???
thanx
