Hi all, I've started riding lessons at a new stable. It's fabulous, way cheaper too.
It's www.riverdaleriding.com
A mere hour & a half each way from home but what the heck! A huge indoor arean & 4 outside ones. I've had 3 lessons outside already & 2 in. The indoor arena has mirrors so you can check yourself.
I have a half hour lesson @ noon on Saturday so it really cuts into my w/e. But, my teacher is supurb, the horses great especially Shasta, who I've ridden the most.
Next week I'll be able to pay for 10 half hour lessons in advance for $360. When I get better I'll go for an hour which is $51.
My teacher has a wonderful calm attitude & is tough at the same time complementory if you know what I mean. She had 2 handicapped students @ the special Olympics 2 weeks ago one won gold the other silver. So I know I'm in good hands!
Take care,
Martin

Congratulations on the new barn. You must love having all that space after coming from Claremont.
Riverdale is supposed to be lovely - we were just talking about it this weekend at my barn. I thought it was more expensive than that - $51 for an hour is a good deal.
Would love to hear about your experiences & pics - I'm always interested in stables in the area.

If you're ever inclined to try NJ - PM me. My barn is only about 15 miles from the city (West Orange, NJ) & has great facilities!

The place looks wonderful! I wish I could board at a barn with all of those rings, a big indoor, and miles of trails too!

How much is that in £ sterling? never can work it out. If its good and you are enjoying yourself, money is the least of it. Bread and dripping all week. L
