Hello,
Does anyone have any recommendations for horse/riding books? I am looking for western-style riding instruction type books, good general horse care books-anything horse related that would help a very new rider/horse owner! Two books that I have found to be excellent so far are:
The Basics of Western Riding - Charlene Strickland
Natural Horsemanship - Pat Parelli
Thanks!

I think Mark Rashid's books are great - you can order them through Amazon.co.uk. He is another "horse-whisperer" to coin a corny phrase but his books are really excellent

So is the man himself! I missed hs clinic here last time, but hope to get to the next one. Everyone I knew who went, spoke very highly of him, and very much enjoyed the clinic.

The dates for Mark Rashid's clinics for next year are 26th to 28th June (3 day clinic) and 30th June-1 July (2 day
clinic). The venue hasn't been decided yet but apparently it's likely to be in north wilts.. possibly in
gloucestershire/oxfordshire.
I'm certainly going to try to get there.
