I ridden our new nag 3 times now. On each occasion I've been very careful to use Heather's techniques only.
(I've had to re-think my riding completely!)

All I can say is, either this horse has some real tallent that he would have had any way, or Heather's methods are paying dividneds after 3 sessions.

I can stop him on a sixpence without reins,in a beautiful outline. He is willing to work on the bit from day one. He listens to my every movement, no matter how small. I'm so pleased with the results, I feel so sorry for all the horses I rode in the past in ignorance.

I rode one of our mares today who was becoming a little nappy and hollow with clients. I was careful to apply Heather's teachings and as if by magic I had a happy mare who said to me "it's about time you learned this,Thank the Almighty you've got the hang at last" and it's all so simple,in Heather's words "Why was I so blind?"

Heather says it more than once in her book, "Why was I so blind?". I've read the book and thought it more than once!

Hear Hear Wally.

I cannot believe how responsive my newly backed mare is. She's better that all the other horses I've ever ridden, poor them. She's an superstar and thats thanks to Heather. I can't wait to carry on when I get a new saddle at Xmas.

I was studing Heather's book last night and I WILL balance properly before I start Queen again. I'm taking lessons but unfortunately I don't agree too much with the instructer - maybe I'll get lunge lessons so I can learn the correct feel. When I asked how do I stop bouncing he replied "It's like that" not much use. He's supposed to be a classical riding instructer AND I'm in Portugal.

You lucky thing, If it wasn't so wet and cold here I would have bought a Lucitano, but they would hate it up here.
I used to ride an Andalucian Stallion, he was bats though, he died suddenly of a brain tumour which explains the love /hate, try to kill each other relationship we had. He was georgeous though! (when on good form)
