Hi folks,

I am back home early as I managed to get a stinking cold up in Cambridge, and as I need a voice to lecture at the Equine Event next week, thought I had better cut short my visit.

The day at Cambridge Veterinary School went brilliantly. It was all due to NR that the day took place as NR member Dr. David Spratt is also a student there (despite already having done a PhD!). David and I corresponded privately as a result of 'meeting' on NR, and he offered to set it all up. David organised the day so that it went like clockwork, and to our pleasant surprise, 175 or so veterinary students turned up, despite the fact that there was a £6.50 ticket price to get in (in aid of Camvet, the school's charity). Brilliant equine osteopath Gavin Schofield opened the batting, paving the way very nicely for my lecture on riding related injuries to the horse.

I had also invited my friends Mike Peace, the horse whisperer, and Kay Humphries, the top saddle fitter and lecturer on the subject to join us, so we had a great day really covering many related subjects.

It was a wonderful opportunity to talk to the next generation of vets. Now they know why these injuries are caused, and can act accordingly when they qualify.

Thanks David!

Gosh, I wish I had known that was going on - I only live 25 miles from Cambridge. I could at least have offered you some hot lemon Heather!

Gavin is brilliant, he had treated my horse several times for an old injury and has made so much difference to his way of moving. Most horses, mine included, seem to love Gavin. I recently borrowed a video in which he gave a lecture to a group of alternative therapists, it was very interesting.

See you at the Equine Event.
