Watched Safi have a brilliant session on Sunday
I can't believe how well she's going and also feel a little sad that despite all my work I couldn't get quite the same results...but hey I guess if I was doing training full time again I'd be a bit better than I am lol:rolleyes:
She is so soft, calm and happy in her work. She is much more supple and her lateral work has improved no end, her stiff side is noticeably freer. And we are finally getting a little extension on the lunge!
After Diane said on Saturday that she reckoned Safi would have a real talent at Jumping because she has excellent balance...which came about watching her "YIPPEE!" buck - She landed in balance every time, never lost her stride - apparently this is good! I have to say that when she's had her moments I've never felt in the least bit in danger of coming off:p oops rambling...anyway I asked if she could have some pole and jump sessions.
Sunday we did the lot - trotting poles and jumps on the lunge, she was brilliant and I was sooo proud of her - she's never seen a coloured pole in her life and didn't bat an eye. She appreciated the break from the intensive dressage schooling and I had a whale of a time lugging poles around the arena;) Diane said that her next stop should be John Whittakers yard lol!
I'm moving her to a DIY yard with a floodlit school when she comes home so that I can school her every night, hopefully keep up the good work :D
