Jods or breeches.

about the jodphur thing,. Jodphurs were originally used with short boots for childres use only as they came down to the ankle, breeches were for adults to be worn with long boots because they only came down to just below the knee. Two completly different trousers. Breeches have since got longer but you can tell the difference, jods go all the way down and are plain at the leg cuffs, Breeches usually stop slightly short of the ankle and have velcro cuff on leg.
