I got a SBS for Xmas :D and tried it out for the first time in my lesson last week. It was really comfy, but I found it really hard to adjust my stirrups.
Is this a problem everyone else has, or am I just doing something wrong :o?

Hi
It sounds like your fixing it in the wrong place,it should go under the big flap not under the small one by the stirrup bar.

That's the thing, though - the straps where under the main saddle flaps.
It seemed to be that the SBS was holding the flaps over the stirrup bars down, which made it hard to get to the buckle.
Did I just do it up too tight? I didn't like the idea of it being loose so I did do the straps up as tightly as I could.....

Try loosening it off just a little bit- they don't tend to slip about, and it may help with the stirrup adjustment! I did find mine made it a little more difficult to adjust stirrups, but it's benefits far outweighed that minor problem!:D

It does not have to be that tight to be secure. I have had my hanging so slack if would bridge between the pommel and cantle and I still never felt it move under me.
One problem I did have in a recent lesson with it though was that we were practising "feeling" trotting diagonals and canter leads without looking and I could not feel a thing with the SBS on. It pads things out so well that I cannot feel the motion of the horse's shoulder, so had to take it away for the exercise.

Yes, they don't have to be tight. Mine doesn't slip at all. James, I'm the opposite. I find the SBS saver enables me to achieve a deeper seat which improves the "feel" for me!

In sitting trot it deepens my seat as I am not bouncing around like a tennis ball, especially on a horse with a bouncy stride. In walk, it dampens the movement out, so I cannot feel the horse's movement under me as clearly. However, not having a stiff lower back after riding makes it worth the slight loss of feeling!

Not to mention the lack of sore seatbones in my case! It's a truly wonderful invention and I wouldn't be without mine.

Nor I - After 18 months in a treeless my bottom can't cope without one any more on a 'normal' saddle:D

Well - had another lesson last night. I deliberately left it slightly looser and it was much easier (although it was also a different horse with a different saddle......).
Hopefully problem solved :). Oh - and my sitting even earnt a "very good", which it never has before, so I figure the SBS helped :).
