Does anyone who doesn't have their own horse use one for their riding lessons? Are they easy to fit quickly and would u recommend one? I don't want to get one if I can never get it on and off quick enough at the stables, any thoughts gratefully recieved, cheers, Cate.

Heather's Enlightened Equitation Seat Bone Saver is easy to fit and remove from a saddle - so no problems for someone wanting to use it on riding school horses.

My friend used to use one on riding school horses - she just made sure she was early for the lesson so she could put it on.
You are the paying customer, and they shouldn't object if it makes you more comfortable and secure.

I used to, nobody ever objected to my using it, and I always take one with me when I go and ride elsewhere now. They are easy enough to put on and take off (unless you're in a rush:D) and make everything that bit more comfortable and secure. You''ll probably find you need to shorten your stirrups by a hole too as you are lifted slightly.

Hi Cate,

Another point raised by a rider from S Africa who trains with a very august Classical establishment on the Continent, renowned for its extremely hard saddles ( so hard that this rider frequently used to end up with a bleeding backside!!) was that the SB Saver gives a feel of continuity to saddles. I expect that you find as most people do, that one saddle can feel very different from another- the Seatbone Saver gives saddles a much more equal feel, as well as being more comfortable and giving the rider better stickability!

The only thing you have to bear on mind is not forgetting it is on the saddle and leaving it behind. I have only done this one...so far.
