Lavander water
Get some of the lavender plant (stalks and leaf)
Put in blender with some water
Blend
Drain out lumps for a healing water wash or Keep as is for a pultis
This is very healing and will help most wounds heal very quickly

Fairy washing liquid for getting yellow-but-previously-grey(white) horses clean again. None of the fancy, expensoive products, just good ol' Fairy. I've tried and tested the lemon scented, I;m not sure about the other varieties

Another really good healing plant is aloe vera, but don't buy the gel and cream from pharmacists go to your local garden place and buy an actual aloe vera plant. Whenever you need it break off a bit of the leaf and wipe it on the wound. Brilliant stuff! Helps to promote healing and I've noticed what scarring is left is very minimal. :)

G.Gracious I think it would work fine!
I have mainly used it on wounds from fences. (big wounds)
But a wound is a wound :D

well that depend on how much lavender. You want it quite strong so just have a guess and add more if it dosn't work out.
I think washing it out every day would be a good idea. It has realy work for me. :D
My horse healed in 5 weeks from a realy bad fence wound and the vet though it was going to take at least 2 months.

Stick reflective patches onto your horse's turnout rug so you can easily spot him when you go out and catch him in the field on winter days when it grows dark early.

Put a martingale stop on the top of your whip, helps to prevent the whip falling out of your hand.

for showing instead of cleaning your bit and stirrups with silver cleaner, stick them in the dish washer they come up better and your horse doesnt object to the funny smell!!!
