I've been using the remedies for several years and have found them to be very useful and effective, but I had a major problem with them yesterday as I failed to follow the instructions on the tincture bottle properly (I was rushed and very tired).
I had left the already made tincture bottle out on my desk with water and remedies already in it, but couldn't remember how long ago I made it up. I thought, what the hell, I'll just take it anyway. It was foul. It tasted of mould and made me feel sick. I couldn't understand for a minute then remembered that not only had I made it about 5 weeks ago (instructions: use for 3 weeks once prepared) but I had left it out in the sun, nice and warm and damp for all kinds of delightful microbes to make their home in (instructions: keep in a cool place out of the sun). Needless to say I then drank a whole load of water to wash it through and then sterilised the tincture bottle with boiling water.
ANyway, my point is to always read through the instructions when taking remedies because they are easily forgotten and the consequences can less than pleasant.

yuck! poor you.

What was the solution it was in, as mine are in an alchol base and seem to last for years.

Although if you do get anything in them (eg: saliva, dirt, ext...) they go off fast.

I once had a very similar situation with a packet of laxatives whose packet I had not read properly..... ;) :D

I have mine in a great little spray pack, just like a pocket size perfume bottle. Two squirts under the tongue and I'm right as rain. It is widely available in Australia, not sure about over there though. The best thing is, theres no mixing and the use by date is not for ages.

My mum uses the dropper variety - just one or two drops under the tongue. She swears by it.

It was in a water-based solution as I was using it for a tincture!!! However I have not made the same mistake since!
