I love the Frontline Spot-Ons for the dogs and cats and am wondering if the ones for horses work just as well?
Has anybody tried them?

i have tried them. I think they work pretty good. I put it on and the next day he seemed like he wasnt swatting at as many flys as he was the day b4. You should try them they work good.

The vet recommended those for Fantasy. The first 2 week period, it helped some, but I was still having to do some flyspray application. The second 2 week period, it was gone the next day. In fairness, we're getting downpours every single afternoon, and she happily plays in the rain...but didn't you say that the horses where DJ & Missy are like to play in a lake?

Yes, I was suspicious of the staying power of these things. DJ swims at least once a day.
See I use the Frontline spot-ons on the dogs and it works great! Btu I have also tried the store bought spot- on and it was a waste of money.
I guess there is different kinds and I figured if they ahd the good stuff for horses it would be ahrder to get -just like the frotnline vs. store bought.
I used the endure spray on before and that was pretty decent...

I had the same experience with the over-the-counter stuff; picking up an occasional stray, it would have been nice to just run out to whatever was open at that hour (usually late) and pick up something...but no.
I do agree :) Frontline and Advantage work well. I think that they are not so much designed to stay on the skin, as to penetrate the skin and work from inside out. The spot-ons, on the other hand, I think are meant to stay on the skin.
