hey, i was wonding if any one on here as a good idea of how to store rugs with winter coming on here more rugs are needed and they are so much heavier than the summer rugs, at the moment all my rugs are in one huge pile in my shed or the are all hung over a long bit of rope(which dosent work very well when u need the one at the bottom) i have a fair bit of room much not a huge space , does any oneh ave a cheap easy way to store rugs??

You can buy big racks to hang them all on.

But im cheap so i just fold mind nicely in half then half again and roll them up then tye them with string then stack them up :D is a bit of a mission with the big rugs but I found it worth while.

i would also be intresting in other ways to store them.

We have rug racks and in our storage area (behind each stable)we have two lines of rope going from one beam to the other and we hang them up there - there is the tendency to walk into them late at night when it's very dark and you can't see a thing though!

You can buy large plastic bags which you then remove air with a vacuum cleaner...reduces size and keeps mice etc away. Got mine at Lakeland but I am sure their are cheaper
