Hi, I know lots of people have written to inquire about riding holidays but I'm hoping that in my long summer break next year to going riding in Ireland for a week or two. I have been riding for about 6 months. On a horse, I can walk, am trying to perfect rising and sitting trot and have had about 3 months of experience cantering on hacks and in the school. I am hoping to improve my riding considerably between now and next summer, maybe concentrating on doing more hacks with more cantering and starting in the school doing a bit of jumping. At the moment I am riding large ponies (i.e a couple of inches shorter than horse height)because I am 18, 4'10'' and about 7st 6lb (tiny I know!!) but my friend has said I can ride her horse and I wondered if this would be useful. I wonder if anyone could recommend a good riding holiday centre in Ireland that I could inquire about as I would love to spend a whole holiday riding.

Cheers Love Kate x x x :D :D

Hi Kate.
I looked into doing this myself earlier in the year, but decided I was too poor.

Try contacting Leisure Breaks.
Tel 0151 734 5200
email: breakeire@aol.com

They have a leaflet called 'Horse Riding in Ireland' with several centres/deals etc.

I also found a few places on the web by searching for riding+ireland.

Hope this helps, let us know how you got on.
