Please feel free to direct me to any related threads but I couldn't find any.

Just wondered if anyone could recommend any supplements to help boost the immune system, what do you feed, any positive results etc? It would be in relation to sarcoids.

Hi... the best one I've known is a supplement by NAF called MSM... if you find their website (just type in NAF and it'll come up!) and click on Equine Health and all their products will come up there for you, together with a very detailed description of what each one is aimed at.

I would recommend MSM for what you enquire about...;)

If you look on websites for global herbs and hilton herbs they both do supplements for sarcoids which boost the immune system. Hilton also do creams and homoeopathic remedies for them. Lancashire Lass, I never knew MSM did anything for the immune system or sarcoids, I always thought it was joints. Will have to check that out - might kill 2 birds with 1 stone so to speak :)

I fed Hilton Herbs Equimmune Gold Solution to Bebe when she had a very small growth on her face. Not sure if it was a sarcoid or not as it did go and she's never had any other growths similar to it but I treated it as if it was. I used Thuja 30c twice daily, applied Thuja Occidentalis ointment onto the growth twice daily for ages and it kept going but then it would grow back. I tried the Equimmune and within a month the growth had gone and so far (about 18 months down the line) it's never grown back.

Zingy.. sorry I mis-read the post and didn't notice the relation to sarcoids...!!! However a friend of mine has a cremello that last year had melanomas on his head area.... since being on MSM they have now all disappeared!!!!!!!!!

I've used MSM in the past when there's been viral infections or coughs and colds floating around the yard and I believe that having him on this did keep him healthy and helped him to ward off the bugs...;)
