I need help... badly! I recently started riding with a new instructor and he told me i need to sit my canter, well when i do my back does this really really weird thing, im not really sure how to explain it. my back goes in kinda S motion and we dont know how to fix it. I've been ridding with a Crop down my shirt to help keep my back straight and it seems to work but as soon as we take it out my back starts going all funny again, and I'm pretty darn sure I can't show in hunters and equitation with a crop sticking out of my shirt lol. if you have any suggestions or happen to have this problem yourself please reply cus its really starting to annoy me and my instructor lol

Perhaps a back brace would help you.

not really i had a show on friday and in the warm up ring i had my crop down my shirt, it must have looked really funny cuz every one was just standing around watching me... i was so embarassed. anywho as soon as i took the crop out for my class i imediatly started waving my back again so i just did my course in a half seat so i wouldnt look like a belly dancer lol.

Have you tried wearing a body protector? That should stop you from being able to bend your back. And you've probably tried this too but imagine you have a piece of string attatched to the top of your head and that its being pulled upwards so that you cna't move your back...sounds stupid but it helped when I rocked whilst canterong
