My friend told me that when turning I should point my hipbones the way I am turning. (like when I turn right my left hipbone will come moreforward. But then on the kinder way of riding aids (( http://www.newrider.com/Kinder_Way/The_Aids/weight_aids.html )) it say to do the oppisite (when turning right right hipbone will come more forwards)) to shift my weight. Which one is right??? PLEASE HELP!

the kinder way one is right, and expolains itbeter than i could. in a nutshell though, your shoulders and hips ought to mirror the horse's, so the outside shoulder comes forward and the inside hip/seatbone. it's not enough of a movement to make you twist - if you feel like you're twisting you're doing it too much. for the seatbone coming forward, think of clenching one bumcheek and that's the extent of it.
