Hi
I had another brilliant lesson today.. This is my 8th lesson since starting back after a 12 year break!
Up until the 6th lesson I was starting to think I would never get back to where I was years ago, my horse felt like it just did not want to move for me or do what she was told! Then all of a sudden last week I turned an enormous corner - my horse did everything that was asked of her, she felt like a completely different horse going from being lazy and not doing what she was told to being very forward & fast! My instructor told me it was me who was getting better and not listening to her telling me what to do, but infact me telling her what to do.
So today I was told to practice the sitting trot which I did and was doing well, then we turned the corner in the school and we cantered! Dont know who was more suprised! But after that my instructor had me canter another half dozen times and I completely loved it - just need to practice my leg on her at turning the corners as she likes to cut them while cantering round!
